I will be connecting a BSNL external Modem and A Laser Printer also. The Apc.com says that i need 650VA. Should i believe them? or 500VA is enough

Cant we manage with something ordinary UPS or some Line Protector seeing that 600VA is 3.5k

500VA is enough for an entry level PC+laser printer.
