Suse Linux contains many propreitory items like plugins, games etc making it a fully "usable" distribution while,OpenSuse is Like Fedora GNU/Linux where, all propreitory plugins and other things are removed.but can be installed by setting either YUM update manager or by manually d/w and install those rpms....OPen SUse project may contain more updated packages as its release freq is more...other than these both are same...

@prakash: Yum is just there as a kinda boo-boo. Even Dag doesn't offer support for suse :(
Most of the work is done by adding http and ftp repos for yast and also configuring apt-get with locations such as usr-local-bin from James Ogley. This is the reason for me to remove open suse. I now have Fedora updated to the latest and everything's working like a charm. :)

I too removed that after 2 weeks of usage..am pretty much Debian inclined u know..but Suse rocks..u can get "checkinstall" package to generate rpms from source for Your Open SUse distro or any other distros..
