Heard this is good for reflexes and concentration. Started playing in office for the past month or so post lunch.
I believe the most important thing to do better in this game is to observe how your opponent is playing.

No. There is one available in our play area. But that's not good.
I intend to get a own bat infact a pair of them and practise with my wife in our apartment.
Just not getting the time.

And not to mention how to pick up a serve and lift chop.

What you said here

and what you say here doesn't sync.
Too Early to discuss about spin I believe.
Its not about Syncing...even pro members can post here their tips.

I have the TT rackets in my drawer in office since years. Hardly played for a few days.
Usually I don't get time, but willingness is also to blame maybe. :p

I think same brand as the one mentioned by you but not sure.
What about the bats?
I believe they range from Rs 100 till Rs 3000.
Bat/Racket is very important.

if he is not living with family, he may has to lure in some friends over free lunch or breakfast on weekends. depends on how enthusiastic he is for this tho.

Cool thread! I'm a tt enthusiast too, been playing for last 5-6 yrs.

My two cents on this..

Even if u don't spin hard urself, u should know how to return on the opponents spinning shot/serve. That way the rally is kept alive longer and chances of the other guy making a mistake increase (cos he's trying to spin hard each time).

The most important thing acc to me is anticipation and movement/positioning to play a shot :)

You are correct but I don't encounter any beginner opponent so often in my office who just play straight strokes....
maximum players I played with use Spin in their game.

Now a days I am playing against lot of PRO players in my office in Doubles match.

and Side-Spin is the biggest nightmare to return. :-x
as we can return Top-Spin and Under-Spin but Side-Spin takes time to master.

haha, I used to play extensively during my school days.

Had a custom racket built after using a couple of Stiga rackets. :p Some butterfly offensive blade + Mark 5 rubber on both sides. Total cost was Rs. 2500. Best days of my life. :p

Thought of starting to play again, and the quote for a similar racket was Rs. 5000. So...won't play.
