Hello folks
I want to buy a tablet to be used as an e-reader(pdf , ppt ,doc...etc)
here are few requirements i think are necessary-

-1024*600 display or better
(for A4 size paper 12-16 words per line,30 lines a page with images )
-good battery life
-smooth UI (should be able to handle heavy documents pdf size-300mb)
-good touch response
-rear camera (if possible)
-OS( any with support for multitasking)

possible candidates
-playbook
-galaxy tab series
-Ainol Novo ( don't trust chinese too much )
-kindle(if it is able to handle images smoothly!!!)

no micromax,i-berry---low pixel density

Budget: <20K INR

Prefer to buy from local dealer in Delhi.

search a lot but can't make up the choice

Stay away from the Kindle. It is not meant for PDFs at all. Not good at handling PDFs.

u can find iPad 2 around 22k now ...i feel iOS is still the king when it comes to tablets :D

otherwise Galaxy tab 2 :)

u can also wait for Google Nexus 7 around 14-15k but its going to launch in October which is too long :(

I am using PlayBook 16 GB and happy with it, cheap also. But you have to forget about Skype otherwise it is great in terms of build quality and specwise.

Yes Ofcourse, without any Doubt.. After all it is meant for multitasking. And so does it do.
Me having Micromax Funbook,i am gonna change it with my sis and she'll buy me a Playbook(64GB) Version.I'll advise you not to go with Funbook at all.
