Tablet for Father - Pls advise timely

Dear Experts,
Need to buy tablet for my father. He uses android mobile currently. So aware of basic features to use. His primary usage would be using apps like IRCTC movies youtube and emails web surfing etc. Play store download apps.

Pls suggest based on following requirements:

1. Ram ideally 4 GB so that things dont slow up
2. Decent processor
3. Android based tablet as its same as his mobile and learning curve is minimal
4. Should be atleast WIFI (SIM is optional)

Budget max can be stretched to 25 to 30K (ideally better if its 20K nearby but can be stretched)

Kindly advise

Realme pad should suffice.

You don't gain much by spending on Samsung Tab S6 lite.

But at 31k, iPad 2021 is an excellent tablet with a great screen & processor. Has some iPadOS restrictions but iPad OS is not as restrictive as iOS.

also went thru your choices

I ended up buying Lenovo Yoga Tab 11 from amazon.

Not sure how much optimal my decision has been.

Few reasons why I opted for Lenovo Yoga Tab 11 -

1. Better processor Mediatek Helio G90T
(Not very sure how much material difference it makes over Helio G80)

2. Better NITS 400

3. Screens size 11 inch (atleast little better than 10.4")

Appreciate your comments on my decision with features i highlighted.

Also would request you to let me know how can we use wired headphones with this tablet as there is no headphone jack?

It is expensive at 28k, ok-ish choice. Not sure of future software choice, that will be given with Samsung tab (not a good value though). Realme Pad is cheap enough to avoid it.

The only con which I see,is that Realme Pad Tab does not support any active stylus pen.
Else cheapwise as per budget,it's an excellent Tablet to cherish with.

Type C to 3.5mm adapter, I just shifted to BT headset.

I feel yes. It has been promised the android 12L update, maybe even 13L. Specs are good, no compromise hardware compared to the Samsung option.

Yes, it's a good tab with great specs at an affordable price!

I have doubt on that unisoc SoC, might not be powerful enough. Also, 4GB RAM is the minimum you should consider for android. Maybe consider Realme Pad 4 I suggested earlier to OP. Costs 18k.

If your budget is only 13k, I doubt you have any better options than that pad mini though.

Edit: Apparently the unisoc CPU has similar core config as G80, so similar CPU performance

720p on 8" is bad.

Instead spend that much on a Kindle but only if you need it for reading. If you want YouTube/Streaming service, it won't work on Kindle.

If tab does not have sim, it won't have gps either, because You need internet connection to use gps and wifi is stationary. Having it will defeat purpose of tab. Try to look for ipad(cellular model) instead imo.

Is it possible to use cellular voice via Jio dongle in iPad using jiocall app ?

I think we able to use precached map just getting lat Lang from gps ?

No. Ipad is not designed for calls, so jio Devs also did not develop app for ipad. You can install iPhone app on ipad, but calling won't work

As of now using the Realme Pad Tablet(4G-LTE version) for a couple of months, I find that it suffices all the requirements and needs of @OP.
Ultimately choice and budget are the determining factors.

Compared to the Realme Pad mini the Xiaomi pad 5 had a good display, a bigger screen, a good processor(Snapdragon 860), and a good 8720 mAh battery with fast charging!

If you want a tab with LTE, GPS, and 3.5 Jack you can go for Realme Pad!
