lets get to business:D

tell me what you like about Michael Schumacher & Fernando Alonso.

i hate F. Alonso
imo Fernando does not deserve the two Titles:x

why- in 2005 he won the Title b'coz of Kimi's regular car break down:x, remember both of them won same number of Races (7-7 each).

on the other hand- Michael Schumacher- he even with his under performing car has won races (especially) on rainy races:twisted:, & what cud be the best example of his Racing Talent-> ofcourse His Last F1 Race:twisted:. @ Brazil.

its sad that he had to retire, but its Ferrari who made him retire, what a Selfish stupid f#$kin Ferrari, M.S. gave them the name what they have now & they treat him like this:x

i'm anti-ferrari. they are cheats... they bend F1 rulez according to their needs! i've been missing hakkinen since a long long time! mclaren are the best and the unluckiest team there! tho i hope wid the first race over, things wud change from now on!!! the rookie driver this time did brilliantly!!

i also sympathise wid david coulthard... he deserves to be in a better team than red bull! gone are the dayz when mclaren had very less downtimes and mika and david burnt tyres like paper on the circuit!!!

i also dont like Ferrari too much, loved their ALWAYS HAPPY TEAM:D, with Michael Schumacher.

MS & Ferrari set lot of trends, like the whole Pit Crew running to the Start Grid & Cheering the driver(s).

though Ferrari has LOADS of money, so thats a reason why they were Un-Disputed in 2002,03,04.

but a sudden rule change, "one engine- two race" hit them real hard.

McLaren on other hand was the BEST competition for MS & Ferrari with Mika & David / Kimi.

heh.. my thoughts exactly...
by the way, i'm more for Fernando Alonso now.. kimi seems too arrogant now that he is in Ferrari... let McLaren get some reliability, Kimi will get the same fate he had in the last few years...
And yeah.. those were the days... Mike v/s MS.

bridgestone.... !! like how many cars actually used bridgestone tyres before??? how many major manufacturers?? ferrari!!!! how many used michelin? almost all major ones! again... bend rules according to ferrari! now others will need more time to settle down wid new tyres in actual race... track testing wid a diff tyre manufacturer is different... racing is different... and it will require quite sometime for others to stabilize..

i dunno why they need to cut costs when this is probabaly the sport wid biggest stakes on it... u wudn't wanna compromise on quality/wins/reputation for costs!!! if something suits someone better let them use it... why monopolise??!!! next what if they say, all the cars gotta use ferrari engines??!!! that'll become a ferrari f1 and one who'll tweak this ferrari engine best will be the winner...err. second place.. coz ferrari will keep the best engines wid them (like they did to saubar)...

yup.. exactly... Renault and McLaren both were on Michelins... they both have a tough time now.. and they both were Ferrari's closest rival...
Plus, bridgestone has always been known to be partial towards ferrari (which is obvious cause there was a time when ferrari was the only team in top 10 with a bridgestone tyre)...

Yeah McLaren will get the reliability in the next 10-15 decades. They just seem to be falling. They did well last race.
And when you'll blame ferrari. What about McLaren's move in the last race to let Alonso gain a place? It's as bad.

"One Tyre Rule" is not his fault, its Max Mosley's - President of FIA.

even WRC has only ONE tyre supplier - Micheline.

about the cost part, Max Mosley is doing so to give the Smaller Teams a Chance , remember Jordan Team :D

but it seems he's overdoing it:x

& Ferrari, McLaren... are still against many rules, & they even threatned FIA about a change in rule or they might quit F1 & start their own Race Series.

btw @VD17, me too a Sebastian Loeb & Petter Solberg FAN:D:D:D

Sebastian is known as the Michael Schumacher of WRC World , he just sets best time for almost every stage & so effortlessly:D

there's a proverb (urban) in tamil, (we used to say it a lot in college to others:D),

- Thotte Nakkenaalom "Pee" thaan, Alli thinnalom "pee" thaan -

translation-

"there's no difference - if one licked sh1t or EAT it, its still sh1t" :p:p:p :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

meaning -> Cheating is Cheating, doesnt matter how you did it.

(ex. - thru bit paper or someone else's answer paper):D.

So Ferrari cheated , McLaren cheated - dont go for "how good" they cheated. :D

Schumi's Family and off-track life

Schumacher married Corinna Betsch in August 1995. They have two children, Gina-Maria (born in 1997) and Mick (born in 1999). The family, as of 2006, lives in Gland, Switzerland near Lake Geneva. Schumacher has always been very protective of his private life and is known to dislike the celebrity spotlight, preferring a simple life. Schumacher's brother Ralf is also a Formula One driver.

Schumacher was the world's first billionaire athlete. His annual salary was reported to be around $80 million in 2004. In the 2005 Forbes Celebrity 100, the list of "The World's Most Powerful Celebrities", he was ranked 17th. A big share of his income came from advertising: Deutsche Vermögensberatung paid him 8 million US dollars  over three years from 1999 for wearing a 10 centimeters by 8 advertisement on his post-race cap :D. The deal was extended until 2010.

Schumacher plays football for his local team FC Echichens. He has appeared in several football charity games and organised games between the F1 drivers.

Schumacher donated US$10 million for aid after the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake. His donation surpassed that of any other sportsperson, most sports leagues, many worldwide corporations and even some countries *smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/y/loveineye.gif .
It was later revealed that a bodyguard who worked for him, Burkhard Cramer, and his two sons had died in the event, while on holiday in Phuket, Thailand. Schumacher is also a special ambassador to UNESCO and has donated 1.5 million Euros to the organization.

Since his participation in a FIA European road safety campaign as part of his punishment after the collision at the 1997 European Grand Prix, Schumacher has continued to support other campaigns, such as Make Roads Safe, led by the FIA Foundation, which is calling on G8 countries and the UN to recognise global road deaths as a major global health issue.

Schumacher delivered a vocal performance as a Rosso Corsa Ferrari F430 in Disney-Pixar's animated feature film Cars. In early March 2006, it was reported that Schumacher will play a small role in the movie Asterix at the Olympic Games.

WRC's Loeb & F1's Kovalainen swap cars for a day

Four times World rally champion Sebastien Loeb got his first taste of Formula One machinery at Paul Ricard in France on Wednesday during a promotional event with sponsor Total-Elf.

The Frenchman, who clinched his fourth WRC crown in Britain last weekend, experienced Renault's title-winning R26 car - with Renault F1 driver Heikki Kovalainen also getting the opportunity to drive Loeb's Citroen C4. Loeb's teammate Dani Sordo also tried out the Renault F1 car.

Speaking about his run in the car, Loeb said: "Today has been a fantastic experience; if I'm honest, it's a little bit like Christmas come early! I have just become a father for the first time, I won my fourth world title last weekend, and now a dream has come true: driving a Formula One car for the first time.

"I was very impressed with the grip generated by the aerodynamics, which is radically different from what we are used to in rallying. I already knew Paul Ricard well from my testing before Le Mans last year, so it meant I could really make the most of today's opportunity. It was a truly exceptional day."

Kovalainen, who was co-driven in the Citroen by Loeb, added: "This was a wonderful day, and I had a great time driving Sebastien's car. I had previously been in this type of car as a co- driver, but this was miles better!

"I felt quite comfortable, even though the sensations are extremely different to what you feel in an F1 car. I talked a lot with Sebastien and Dani, and it was interesting to see how they controlled the car in the slow and high-speed corners, and learn from it.

"In return, I was able to give them some advice about the R26, and I hope they both enjoyed the experience."

A1 GP

Karthikeyan takes India's first win
Narain Karthikeyan has taken India's maiden A1GP victory in the Zhuhai Feature race on Sunday.

The former Formula One driver held off a fierce challenge from New Zealand's Jonny Reid for the final 15 laps, and he eventually won by just 0.5 seconds.

Karthikeyan ran third in the early stages as he held his position at the start, but he moved ahead of Great Britain and Switzerland as the leaders struggled with their pit stops.

The Indian car had good pace though, as during the middle of the race Karthikeyan had been catching Neel Jani before the second round of pit stops.

Reid settled for second after working his way up from 10th on the grid. He passed several cars on track during the early laps, and then took advantage as other cars had slow pit stops.

Adrian Zaugg took third for South Africa, but he had to work hard to keep Sprint race winner Michael Ammermuller at bay in the final laps. The German driver did well to make it back to the front, after he went off track on the opening lap.

Oliver Jarvis recovered from two slow pit stops to take fifth position after he led the early laps, and the British driver also gained the point for fastest lap.

Championship leaders Switzerland were leading the race comfortably before the second round of pit stops, but they lost a lot of time in the pits and eventually had to settle for sixth.

France were another team to fall down the order, as Loic Duval was given a drive through penalty for running over an air hose from Team USA, which knocked one of the American mechanics over.

Duval recovered to finish eighth ahead of Tomas Enge, while Franky Cheng finished ninth for China after serving a drive through for speeding in the pit lane.

Cheng grabbed ninth from Jonathan Summerton in the closing laps, as the American went off track while trying to defend his position.

Race of Champions 2007

Germany wins the Nations Cup

Sebastian Vettel spared Michael Schumacher's blushes by winning both of his heats to take Germany to Race of Champions Nations Cup glory at Wembley.

Vettel defeated Finland's Marcus Gronholm and Heikki Kovalainen in the final, after Schumacher had lost the opening heat.

The seven-time Formula One world champion, who was famously beaten in the individual competition by Kovalainen in 2004, was haunted by the young Finn again, as he stalled at the start of their race this time.

The pair then ran around very closely in the same lane of the track together, with Kovalainen eventually passing Schumacher into the long first corner.

Vettel then pulled off a shock by beating two-time World Rally Champion Gronholm in the Ford Focus that the Finn has competed in for the past two years, and the 20-year-old then beat Kovalainen in the RoC buggies in the third heat to seal the title.

The German team upset the Wembley crowd by beating England in the semi-finals, where Schumacher and Vettel triumphed over Jenson Button and Andy Priaulx respectively, despite the English drivers leading at the halfway stage of both heats.

Finland got to the final after beating their local rivals Team Scandinavia and Team Norway in the two previous rounds, while Vettel's only defeat in the competition came in the opening round to American Travis Pastrana.

Schumacher saved his young countryman in that round by beating first Jimmie Johnson and then Pastrana, but it was Vettel who did the winning in the final.

Four-time Champ Car champion Sebastien Bourdais had the biggest crash of the competition when his throttle stuck open in the RoC Buggies against Norway, while England at least had something to shout about as they defeated Scotland in the quarter finals.

The drivers will now prepare for the individual Race of Champions event, where DTM champion Mattias Ekstrom will be aiming to retain his 2006 crown.

Schumacher, Todt reunite on screen

Schumix ! LOL

Michael Schumacher is due to renew his working relationship with former team boss Jean Todt on screen early next year when they appear together in an Asterix movie.

The seven-time world champion is appearing in the 'Asterix at the Olympic Games' film, which is due for release in France on January 30th 2008.

Schumacher will play the part of a chariot racer called Schumix, with Todt working for him in the pits. (ROFL)

The scene they appear in together took one month to film and lasts for seven minutes in the movie - with some of it appearing in official trailers that have now been released.

The pair were convinced to take part in the film by co-director Thomas Langmann, with their retainers going to their nominated ICM charity.

Schumacher and Todt are not the only big sport names to appear in the film. Zinedine Zidane plays Numerodix, while David Beckham has also been included in the film credits.

Hamilton caught speeding in France

Lewis Hamilton had his driving licence suspended for a month after being caught speeding on a French motorway, police said on Tuesday.

The British driver was at the wheel of a Mercedes when he was clocked at 196 km/h near the northern town of Laon on Sunday.

Police stopped him, detained the car and fined him 600 euros.

"He was very polite and cooperative," said a police spokesman, who added Hamilton had since had the car collected for him.

Ferrari define Schumacher's role

Michael Schumacher says he and Ferrari have finally decided what his role at the Italian squad will be following his retirement from racing.

The seven-time world champion, who stopped racing at the end of 2006, will be in charge of developing cars for Gestione Sportiva - Ferrari's motor racing division.

Schumacher has tested for Ferrari a few times since he retired, and the German says he will do it again in order to help the Italian squad with their new F1 car.

"It took us a bit of time to establish, but now my role inside Ferrari is clear: we had to understand where my presence would be most useful," Schumacher was quoted as saying by Gazzetta dello Sport.

"I deal with the development of the car inside Gestione Sportiva.

"We haven't yet scheduled the days when I'll drive the car, nothing's decided. We'll evaluate depending on the situations: if the team need me to, I'd like to drive, but not too often.

"The F2008? The car is promising, but it is not yet in its definitive configuration. To give a more grounded opinion we'll have to see what our rivals have done."
