This has probably been mentioned before, but if you can afford to, get a scanner/all-in-one with an Automatic Document Feeder.

This is especially useful if you need to scan a LOT of pages in one go. If you don't know what it is, basically it's a feed tray in your printer which scans a large number of pages in one go automatically. Personally, I've owned a Brother DCP-7065DN for a long time now, and it has made life less miserable when I need to deal with a lot of paperwork.

The one downside is that an AIO like mine takes a fair bit of space, certainly more than a normal flat bed scanner, but newer models may be more compact than my particular model.

Brother makes one of the best printers. Get a new brother OR Epson. For heavy duty stuff these are the best ones out there.

Do you know any decent 3rd party replacement drum manufacturers? I bought a drum off amazon and the print quality was very, very bad. Basically I need a DR-2255 replacement.
