what's the best medicine for headaches ? Disprin tablets are useless :|

A headache so strong that disprin is failing. Best to get a checkup done from doctor.

Just drink one glass of Nimbu-Paani.

Strong lemon. And a slightly higher salt than average.

@OP consult a ENT Doctor.

@ico.. Medicine related discussion should not be allowed, its best left to the experts.. there may be only a few real doctors here.. and the one I know doesn't post here anymore..

Best medicine is to avoid medicines as much you can. But if its out of control get Voveran D tablet, mix in water properly and drink. It works 100% for me.

Don't be a Doctor of your own by asking or taking medics. Consult a Doctor.

lol. Headaches are usually causes due to chemical imbalance in the brain or near that area. So the safest way to cure a headache is to apply a good balm like tiger balm and rest even if you are lying down with eyes closed. You can see if that helps, else see a doctor. In cases of server pain it is recommended that you see a doctor asap

Consult the doc asap, self medication is very bad, could be anything from a simple eye problem to a migraine or even a brain tumor, don't use internet advises they always lead to cancer/ulcer diagnosis.

And don't take painkillers(NSAIDs) too much without consulting doctors, they cause ulcers if taken excessively, this I know for sure without being a doctor.

Guys,this is a tech forum.
@ MODS, I agree with what RCuber is saying, and believe you agree too. Please lock this thread and kindly ask the members to refrain from starting threads like this. We are not qualified medical specialists.
@ TDF members, kindly do not start or respond to such threads. It's a thing we should refrain from. People can visit sites like Search Drug Information, Interactions, Images, Dosage & Side Effects | CIMS India for medical advice on ailments and medicines.

If you are in Mumbai .. consult Dr. Ravishankar at Sion ... he is a neuro and a headache specialist .... Top doc!!! ... fees will be high .. but under him ur headaches will be well treated.....

migraines can be very troublesome ..even if it comes once or twice a month ....

@cyberkid: first, this is chit chat section. Second, asking here is better compare to other forum because have been here for enough time to believe and can rely on advice of TDF members(members are friends for long time).

And advice to OP,a cup of good tea works sometimes. For me do most of the times cause tea made by my mom,a very nice cup of tea.

@ Swapnil26sps I know that members are friends for long time. But you can't surely say that what worked for you will work for someone else. And it's definitely too dangerous suggesting medicines, which I think is you would agree too.

@CyberKID: i am with you in this. Suggesting medicines is not good. And like both of us,most of TDF members are not suggesting any medicines to OP. Most suggestions are home made,OP can try, if its severe then already members suggested doc consult.

The fact you made a thread for this on a tech forum means you are spending too much time at your PC. go outside and meet real world friends or engage in outdoor games!

If the pain is above the eyes and you have a history of sinus problems it's probably inflammation of sinus passages. Disprin+A good decongestant tablet (e.g. vicks action 500) should take care of that. If that's not working, visit a doctor immediately. If you are unable to visit a doctor, the strongest painkiller I can talk about that will not cause addiction is Ketorolac Tromethamine. Take only one a day and do not continue medication for more than 5 days.

Disclaimer: I am not officially a doctor or a medical specialist, however I have a fairly decent knowledge of human biology. The only guarantee I make about these drugs is that if taken in the dose I have mentioned, ill effects will be minimal

I agree, but only in case the members are not suggesting any medication. We should have a separately dedicated thread for that.
