What exactly is the True motion technology in HD TVs, and does it make any difference to picture quality?:)

True motion technology is a feature of LG HDTVs, as in the LM Series of HD TVs by LG. This feature is used to smoothen out videos, to remove what is called the judder - which results due to frame rate conversions. This technology essentially involves generating extra frames in real time, and interpolating them between the actual frames to get a smoother motion. The difference in picture quality is quite significant when using this feature - I will recommend that when buying a new HD TV, definitely go for a brand that offers this feature.
