I tried with firefox with IE tab as well as iE 7 but the same problem persists. I tried by unstalling my antivirus but still it remains same. I don't have any fire wall installed. I tried with windows firewall off but same result.Does anyone has any suggestion.

1) Um, Have you by any chance disabled JavaScript? It mostly seems like a Javascript Problem.

2) Looks like a Virus problem! Which Antivirus do you use? Norton? If yes, kindly update it to the latest version OR uninstall it and install lastest Kaspersky/NOD32 to scan and remove all the malware.

Edit: Oops! aravind_n20 beat me to it!

i have nod32. I scanned the whole PC. deleted all the infections. Still this is happening. Java plugin is enabled.

No No! Not Java Plugin! its JavaScript! (Please don't confuse the two! JS != Java!)

It can be enabled in the Browser Settings.

Since you said you cleaned your infections, then I think some irreversible damaged files have been left back? (i think so).

Better get XP Installation CD and run System File Checker.
Type sfc /scannow in Start-> Run
