A cricket umpire has died after being struck on the head by a ball.

Alcwyn Jenkins collapsed after the blow during a Welsh cricket league match in Swansea on Saturday. He was 72.

Umpires should wear a helmet. I've seen many umpires dodging the balls. In all those situations, they are saved by their luck.

its very sad.. but it is rare to see a person umpiring at the age of 72...

must wear safety things like in baseball...halmet..gloves..etc
