I have HP PSC 1400. Drivers are installed. Device is running up. Kernel is latest updated on 8/5/07. Before updation, printing worked. Now not working. Desktop Environment=XFCE4+GNOME
Print cmd accepted but no action.
Remove ur old printer profile and add new one. Then try!
i would recommend downloading and installing HPLIP. it solved my problem, on Fedora Core 6. i think that your printer is supported.
*hplip.sourceforge.net/
System>administration>printing ....and then add new printer.
i think that hplip has a a new version, released a few days back. try installing that from source. also, do u have the latest version of CUPS?
FC5 used to print fine with me, but on upgrading to FC6, printing didnt work. upgrading to latest HPLIP drivers, and CUPS worked.
