I installed bluesoir software so that i can use the bluetooth to connect devices. After installing the software when i run it , it says bluetooth hardware not available. But i have bluetooth working in windows vista then why is it not working in win 7?
May be you didn't install proper drivers supported by win 7.
Dell does not provide drivers for windows 7 32 bit so i installed a 3rd party software on recommendation.
dell does provide driver for 32bit.usually 64bit drivers also have 32bit version inside them too.try dell 64bit windows 7 driver for your model & it should work.
First : Dell laptops comes with the bluetooth drivers pre installed.
Second : go to support.dell.com and search with your Service Tag for all the drivers for your laptop.
Third : Download the driver for your hardware : Dell bluetooth 365 etc... and install it.
