A friend of mine needs a website for an app he is developing, and does not want bandwidth restrictions on the site, because of images, videos, etc he may be hosting.

We initially thought of getting a wordpress.com blog and paying 99$ for wordpress value bundle (10GB Space, VideoPress, Custom Design, Domain, DNS Mapping, no WP ads), and then came across the Rs. 2000/- per annum plan from eWebGuru for unlimited bandwidth hosting.

Any users of these two please comment about the quality of each.

I don't have any experience with wordpress.com hosting but they may be having some restrictions like:
1) Only WordPress hosting
2) No user friendly control panel like cPanel.
3) No backup provision.
etc...

All hosting provider have these features common:
1) Free / paid domain name (domain cost only Rs. 500 - 550 per year)
2) No forced ads / link
3) DNS Mapping is free with domain name.

Could you extrapolate a little more ?

Problem in this case is the only (chief) requirement is a wordpress blog that is easy to maintain and nothing else is needed. Normal webhosts charge for higher bandwidth, while in wordpress.com bandwidth never becomes a worry.
