I will be buying the corsair TX 850 V2 psu next month for my nvidia 580 gtx so can one of you will able to tell me how much capacity of ups is required for smooth running and back-up

How much time of backup you want & whats the budget ??
I will suggest you to buy APC 1.1KVA Ups as the GTX580 is power hungry card.Price rs 4.4K+vat
Everything depends on the backup time required. Let OP mention it first.
^^I have purchase APC 1.1KVA ups in spite of having microtek 800VA because when playing game like battlefield bad company 2 with c2de7300 and MSI GTX560Ti TFII OC microtek ups unable to take load when power is off, it restart every time.NOTE-GTX560Ti is more hungry than ur 6950.So APC 1.1KVA UPS is recommended for GTX580 based system.

Back up time some 5 to 10 minutes will be fine my budget is around 7k but tell me if the gtx 580 will be ok with corsair tx 750 v2 or corsair tx 850 v2
I think 750 would be sufficient. For UPS get what Tenida has suggested.
