What you want to do with you system? See if the advantages of vista over xp are worth the disadvantages.

AERO does run on nVidia FX 5200. I am running it in my P4 with 1GB RAM and a nVidia 5200. It can be snappy when more than 6 or 7 windows are opened. But the verdict is that nVidia 5200 DOES RUN AERO. :D

Dude what else can the graphics card be used for under Vista other than AERO? When MS has mentioned that 5200 is supported, it means that it can run AERO, maybe not very smoothly. But it will surely run it:)
