Vista Transformation Pack 3.0

Well, this is another very big update. In this release, you'll get bunches of stuff you've never seen before in this pack such as Windows Media Player skins, WindowBlinds skin, new stuffs, etc. And bugs I've found are all fixed with 5270 additions.

Changes in Version 3.0:
· Added 2 Vista 5270 visual styles
-Aero Style (Glass - Beta 2)
-Aero Style (Vista - Beta 2)
· Added 2 Vista Media Player skins
-Windows Media Player 11 (TheVista.ru)
-WMP11 (MaStErHaCk)
· Added 2 Vista screensavers
· Added 8 new Vista wallpapers from build 5270
· Added Vista (Beta 2) stuffs such as
-login
-icons
-progress dialog
-start button
-toolbar icons
· Added WindowBlinds glass skin
· Corrected some Vista icons (Printers and Search)
· Fixed annoying cached files in harddisk source (such as i386, servicepackfiles, etc.)
· Fixed file extraction buffer error (some files that might be lost on some machines)
· Fixed Glass2k uninstallation bug
· Fixed unattended transformation issues on unattended installation (Works only on First-Run transformation mode)
· Removed "Aero Style (Glass - 51xx)" since it's similar to Beta 2 ones
· Updated ToolBar style settings
· Updated Vista Beta 1 progress buttons
· Updated visual styles
-Fixed TreeExpandCollapse transparency bug
-Renamed "Aero Style (52xx)" to "Aero Style (Beta 2)"
-Fixed CaptionButton background bugs in Vista visual styles
-Fixed Compact StartPanel bugs in Aero Style (Vista - Beta 1) visual style
-Updated ListviewHeader image to new Vista ones
-Updated Logoff/Shutdown button position in Beta 2 series
-Updated new 5270 stuffs to Beta 2 series
-Updated some improved elements in Beta 1 serires
-Updated Tabitem images to ones used in IE7 in Beta 2 series

Use this judiciously. Very high chance of messing up critical system files.

A lil help please.

I installed the full pack of that transformation one (not crystal) (30 sumthin MB) but I found no transparency nor any change in the theme, jus the logon, the start button, the icons have changed :(

Do I need to have WB5/4 installed to have that Vista kinda visual style ?

My desk still looks classic XP style (not windows classic :p !)

For that transparency effect you need to install Glass2k .. (included in the pack) .. check if you've installed it and then Apply Glass visual styles from theme settings ..

Guys,

Please advice me ,

I want a transformation pack , a good one , but I want to do it in such a way that the system files dont get messed up.

Also , I have a paltry 128MB Ram , so is it advisable.

Can they be uninstalled later ? Because my friend tried one and he could not uninstall it leading to a system format.

Anyway, just tell me a good one dont worry abt the Ram.

Regards

godsownman : ive tried em. find crystalxp the safest to install/uninstall. even xpize also. but by their very nature, they will replace system files. install only one at one time. if u want a change, uninstall it and then install sumthing else. bot above have yheir uninstallers too.

create systemrestore point first. then install.
128mb is not the issue.

anywayz. go ahead, take the plunge and enjoy.

Yes thats the one... Its listed as 38MB but actually its around 26 MB once you start to download. And yes, its the safest of the lot.

Kalpik & Kato,

Thanks a lot , Anyway am going to give it a shot . Yes I do doubt the Ram and hence I asked. I will be trying it out first thing in the morning coz I am eager.

If it acts nasty it will be uninstalled.

Thanks once again .

I dont think this pack will give you problems regarding RAM. It worked fine on my old machine (P3 600Mhz, 192 MB RAM). Best of luck!
