i am also looking for 500 GB or something like 750 GB hdd

i have segate 500 GB +5yrs warrenty for Rs.4300 incl tax .

Be very careful with the WD brand. It's been only 3-4 months with my 320GIG HDD & it's already coughing up with issues. The drive doesn't detect at all.My friend had warned me about the similar issues.Looks like these drives are plagued.Anyway go with either a Seagate or Hitachi HDD.

And since you live in Pataila, u can come over to Chandigarh. 1 Hr these days

All internal WD harddrives carry 5 year onsite warranty in India. I dont recommend seagate.....from my experience seagate drives get bad sectors much more quickly than WD drives. In bangalore Seagate 500 GB = 3900+4%vat.

thanks dear friends... for ur views...

i think i should go for either for seagate or for Hitachi!!!!
