My Current specs -
AMD Phenom II x4 960T AM3+
GIGABYTE 970A-UD3 AM3+
GIGABYTE 1060 6GB
Corsair XMS3 4GB x2 DDR3
Corsair 300R
Want to upgrade my processor and motherboard as they are pretty old and resulting to bottleneck in every single new gen game .Looking for something like i3 8th gen and a suitable motherboard which can run DDR3 RAMs .

1.Can I keep using my existing RAMs?
2.Do I need to upgrade GPU ?

Budget - Around 20k (+5k if I decide to go for a new cabinet )
Purpose - Major gaming and mediocre programming and editing
When am I buying - End of 2018

Ask again in Nov 2018 by which time nvidia 2xxx series & probably intel 9th gen may be out.DDR3 ram will not work even today with intel 8th gen & Ryzen processors so add it to the list of components to replace.
