Imation Corp., a leading supplier of optical disc media, announced on Thursday the world’s first Blu-ray media that features water-resistant technology that allows to print on the discs using ink-jet printer or markers. Besides, the new media also features scratch-resistant protection.
“Imation’s Blu-ray media with AquaGuard technology is the perfect disc. We’ve designed each side of the disc for professional use. The data side features high capacity and scratch resistance. The inkjet printable side allows for creation of custom, water-resistant printed images and text,” said James Milligan, general manager commercial/OEM division, Imation Corp.
