how do i check these let me know i will do it ASAP

Open a command prompt. (Start>run>type in "cmd" and click OK)

- In the window that opens type "chkdsk c:" and press return (where c is
the drive you want to check).

- Windows will check the drive and report if there are errors. It will
also report "XXXX bytes in each allocation unit". 4096 bytes would mean
you have 4K clusters. 512 bytes would mean you have 512 byte clusters.

4k cluster

ohk thanks for speed check can you try this..

It might be interesting to know that a new HDDs by both Seagate and WD carry ONLY 1 year warranty from now on for new purchases.

(that doesn't effect your HDD)

actually Sarath its 2yrs for WD Green, Blue & 5 for Black. 1 for seagate desktop drives.

Since you bought it on April 2010, you probably paid less than Rs3K. So if you lower the price and stop trying to make a profit, maybe you can sell it. Otherwise, good luck bumping.

I am not making profit its just i am selling according to the current market rates
every one wants lowest rates may be 2~3k what it used to be

if it doesnt sells i am happy keeping it with me

P.S. any more questions?

4800 shipped .... need cash urgently
