Yes Mobo is an integral part but a motherboard itself wouldnt boost gaming performance by leaps n bounds.

if u wanna good P965 chipset mobo then buy P5B Deluxe or Gigabyte DS3P.all most all P965 chipset mobo hav support for QuadCore proccies.
