why not wait for a little more and go for vista ?

Vista? better be prepared to invest more for new hardware, including ur display

i am using win xp home (oem) ... got it for around 3500/- bucks ..its gr8.

I know M$ offered WinXP FREE to ppl in working in Dept of Defence in US.

The price for wndows xp prof is 5600/- and you can get a sp2 cd form microspft.com for free. somply register for a free sp2 cd. it wil be posted to you.

The price of Win XP is 5500/- and the VISTA may cost a lot initially for Beta Version.....

Nowhere can one get genuine XP for Free.....

I have 15-20 CD-RWs for this purpose....

Longhorn (VISTA) will be worth the wait.

If you are still intent then it will be around 5000 rs. Depends on availability.Check several places but PRAY DON'T GET PIRATED VERSION.

SP2 was free with Digit cd or DVD.
