which softwares r u using to protect ur pc......??
and after the news abt pak spammers trying to infect indian pc's with sites like songs.pk, what xtra care will u take....??
---------------------------------------------------------------------

im currently using avast av pro 4.8 + trojan remover 6.8 + spybot search n destroy.......!!
and all updated....!!
i ocassionaly switch b/w avast n kaspersky
isnt that sufficient, one of my clg frnd told me that with kaspersky internet protection u dont need to install spybot .........

Not using a firewall on your PC is akin to a girl asking to be gang-raped.

My line of defense: KIS 2009 + MalwareBytes Anti-Malware 1.31

I thought the same. Anyway, coming back to the topic, I use Linux that doesn't require all these anti-whatnots.

Linux and OpenSolaris does not require security suite yet...

For Windows I'll recommend SuRun:
*kay-bruns.de/wp/software/surun/

And add a Firewall. Enough...

A boy asks his father how he was born. The father replies:
"Ah, my son, I guess one day you will need to find out anyway! Well, you see your Mom and I first got together in a chat room. Then I set up a date via e-mail with your Mom and we met at a cyber-cafe. We sneaked into a secluded room, where your mother agreed to a download from my hard drive. As soon as I was ready to upload, we discovered that neither one of us had used a firewall, and since it was too late to hit the delete button, nine months later a blessed little Popup appeared and said: You've Got Male!"

so, firewalls are importnt. ;) ;) ;)

ontopic- i use kaspersky.

IMO, all you need is some common sense when it comes to security.
I mean, dont go looking for trouble :)p) and trouble will not come looking for you. :D
