Hi,

I have bought the same Asus laptop last week. So far I havent found any glitch in that. The gaming performance is awsome. The touchpad has superb touch sensitivity, scroling, zoom etc.
I am not aware of the Toshiba laptop you mentioned.

IMO, Toshiba laptops look a bit cheap.. Again, it's my personal opinion.. Also k53sv has got very good reviews overall, look in the global website..

get hp dv4.

If ass is concerned, Try and get dell 15r with DOS !!
but you might not get a discrete gpu and will have to work with intel hd3000 as per dell website !!
