What to buy??

anyone????!!!!!!!!!!!!plz help!im up grading from parts which are dinosaur now

good budget and i'd suggest a Quad core instead - which will be great for some near future games

Board=MSI P7N Sli if u wanna add another gfx card , otherwise Abit IP 35 PRo

no sli for me
and msi is better than abit.they use solid state capacitors, which last longer and perform better.as for quad,i dont need one since the only game that supports quads w/o modding is crysis and crysis performs beter in duals.and i need specs for case and everything that goes in it.

also i will OC a lot cpu 4ghz and gpu to as much as possible without pencil mods or volt mods

well new games will definitely support quad core processing, thats ur wish

Abit also has solid state capacitors in IP 35 Pro !!

Nice budget!
Well, MSI Platinum P35 Combo + Q6600 should be a nice combination. Regarding RAM, go for atleast 2GB from Patriot/Corsair. Yep, MX-II combined with U120E should be good. Btw, also lookout for CoolerMaster Gemini II or Hyper 212. They are nice in performance.
Regarding GPU, go for Palit 9600GT Sonic edition, if possible. The card is way better than other OC versions. Btw, with that budget, i suggest to go with a 8800GTS 512MB. Way better than a 9600GT! One more thing, make sure u invest in a good Cabinet, like CoolerMaster Cosmos!

full specs plz

i decided on CM690 coz i wont need full tower case

ok, what would u need to know with that already i've told.
I've even mentioned the brand particulars!

how about this spec list?

intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Processor
MSI P35 NEO-F Motherboard

your configuration is very good but if you would like to make some changes will give you better performance

go for ati cd 3870 or 3850 this graphics card is better than 8800 and 9600
go for q 6600 instead of 8400 it's more future proof.

I would prefer Noctua 120mm-1300 RPM fans attached to TRUE for best cooling.

I'd suggest

Intel Q6600
Western digital 320GB AAKS
Abit Ip35-E

Rest all same.

@monkey:so i should go for those fans instead of scythe?what do they cost?
@nish:i dont want something future proof now for i will go for LGA1336 after 2-3 yrs.i abit is hard to find in kolkata.msi has better customer support.i am not saying that abit is bad,but i prefer msi.WHATS THE COST OF THE HDD?has it got 16mb buffer?

yes it has 16mb buffer and will cost just about the same.
E8400 is good but if you gotta overclock it to the max ,u'd need a good mobo.if its MSI i'd suggest going for a P35 NEo combo atleast or a P7N Sli platinum.
the board you selected does not seem to have any good capacitors or overclocking features.

Those scythe fans are good .i have the same thing with my thermalright 120E

ok heres a re list:

intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Processor
Abit IP-35-E Motherboard
MSI 9600GT OC Edition(Dual Slot Version) Graphics Card
WD Caviar SE16 320GB HDD
Cooler Master CM 690 Case
Tagan BZ700 700W Modular Power Supply
G-Skill DDR2 F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ(2GB x 2) 800Mhz RAM
ThermalRight Ultra 120 Extreme CPU Cooler (using Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Paste)
Scythe Kaze-Jyuni SY1225SL12SH - 120mm(x4) Case Fans (added with stock fans)
Windows Vista Home Premium (64-bit) OS

perfect , and if possible add a corsair dominator ram cooler if u r overclocking those rams .it will help a lot keeping them cool

i dont oc ram modules.
oh and whats electric stove edition?dont tell me that u use your gfx card for cooking food!

Spot one!! How did you know that he cooks his food on his XFX card??? Actually that card is known ot haf heating issues.

Quite nice setup you've decided to go for, I must say

^ at 80 degrees of non-oc gaming temp i guess u can cook
maybe XFX had the same idea when designing 8600gt,gts ,8800gt alpha dog

actually nish,go for aftermarket heatsink for your gfx card

i do have antec Vcool but i'm changing my gfx card pretty soon.going for a 9600GT sli or a 9800gTx

9600GT sli beats single 9800gtx

Pretty nice specs u came up with.
And well, 9600GT in SLI setup should beat a 9800GTX. Instead of buying a 8800GTS for ~17-18.5K, it would be wise to invest in two 9600GTs!
One more thing, go for WD HDD if possible. Possibly, ones with 16MB cache, like others have suggested.
Regarding PSU, i thought CM Real Power 550W should be appropriate. And, instead of AS5, go with MX-II. AS5 is gr8 for GPUs. U120E is a good choice.
So, when are you going to buy the rig?

no idea when i get the money?!:d probably in a week or so
