Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, as they say, but due to bad habits in our household all we get in name of breakfast is 500ml to 1 ltr of milk per person. For some of u guys it must be whopping too much but not here so tell me what else I can have in breakfast that can be healthy and easy to make, considering the fact that probably I'll be the cook. ;)

They're the most common thing but I've found that even after eating half a box of those in a single serving, it doesn't gives that filled up feeling.

^^^In plain Hindi, Dalia, bhai I hate that! What about milk and banana, I know it gives instant filled-up feeling but what about nutritious value and calorie count?

@T159, Bhai Sattu kya hota hai?
I'm a vegetarian so fruits and breads sound like a good idea but I gave up eating bread a long time ago. Right now all I eat for breakfast is milk(quantity mentioned above), couple of paranthas(alone, if stuffed) or with last night's left overs. :(

For a quickie:
Bread + Butter/Jam + Milk + 1 banana :p Tastes good and good for health too. But take in moderation. I am too a veggie, so no eggs etc.

Great breakfast Dude!

Sattu is gram flour. Its a rich source of protein, less in carbs and sugar and almost zero fat. Recommended if you are into sports or pumping iron like Amir Khan:p!

Muesli with apples and bananas - the end. You can almost last through the day on a generous helping, not that I recommend doing it.

Rather than gorge yourself on breakfast foods, the key is to space out meals all through the day. 5-6 smaller meals than 2 or 3 larger meals would do you a world of good.

 I don't drink that much in a week! Or perhaps a month!!

+1. What was that? Hindi? I'm amazed because its called Saatu in Nepali which is similar..

My quickie I once used to take; 1 cup milk, 2 tablespoons gram flower and other flour mixture (the beloved sattu!), 1 teaspoon sugar, 1 egg white(uncooked, separate the yolk, doesnt taste that good). All in a mixer for 15 secs. And tadaa, its ready.

With it, you may have 2-4 pieces of toasted-bread + honey. My another favourite quick-one.
And of course, any whole fruit thats available in the season.

I used to take such stuff when I went to gym. Nowadays I seldom take breakfast, and not a good one when I do.

Keep in mind, breakfast is one of the most essential meal of our day; I'd say the most essential!

Also, cornflakes is a really good quick-one. I used to take alota oats + cornflakes + honey combo sometime ago.

But... I like a single, kinda heavy breakfast; rather than a bit of this and a bit of that.. But being health concious, I tried to forego that habit. But nowadays theres no control, no rule; I eat anything I feel like.

Its called Raagi. Raagi Mudde if it is hard, and Raagi Huritu if it is not mixed with milk. Basically its this grey powder that you add ghee, sugar and milk to. Don't know if this is the same porridge that Neo ate... but its called porridge.
