Is it just me or everyone else too is seeing half page AD on digit? Almost half of my left side screen is covered with AD and a banner AD on the right side. The forum is reduced to less than 30% of the total width of the page!

See what I mean:

It is another-new-bug or Digit has chosen to become just an AD site than a technology forum?

P.S. I tried ALL the browsers I had and the results are the same everywhere.

If you dont use greasemonkey you can directly use Adblock plus extension + NeatDigit Firefox extension.

Extension link : *addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/11096/

You can see the features of the extension/ script in the digit thread, as the greasemonkey script and extension thread were merged by the admin so the thread posts will look out of order :-|

This is so kewl.....

No more adds in this forum. The page is rendering so wide wide. WOW...!

Now one good deed deserves another:
How do I get this to happen, for any web page...adds completely blocked. I do not want to install an 'add blocker' it eats up RAM.

:)

asigh, this extension will work for thinkdigit only as i wrote a site specific code. If you know little bit of javascript than its really easy to code for your other favorite website.

If anyone is using Adblock plus extension, I will recommend another companion extension of AdBlock named Element Hiding Helper , very useful to remove ads/content which adblock misses.

Shame on you , pathetic digit forum staff !!! ,

absolutely no control over spam. There was a porn0 spam msg in this forum (*www.thinkdigit.com/forum/showthread.php?t=44555&page=2). I was surfing the forum in presence of my family, wtf ! why does this not happen in other forums like techenclave, erodov, etc.

Worst of all , i surf this forum in office(like many others) !! you guys are going to get people kicked out of their jobs.

If not for you we would have to bear crappy ads mate. The post will likely be there till tomorrow morn at least. Kids will be banned from net surfing, imagine their embarrassment and people may lose jobs. :x

somebody make a porn filter for the forum :D , these people are hopeless. More than one year of nagging, and absolutely no effect on them.

^Yeah that's the whole point that rhitwick tried to make in the complaint/whining thread. We need at least a couple of new mods to help the existing ones out. I'm ready to recommend three guys who I think will make good mods, if anyone will hear me out.

It'll have no impact. I remember a few years ago when we were all clamouring for new mods, it all fell on deaf years :(

^That's why I am not posting the names of my recommendations anywhere. I know its useless. The deaf ears bit is the reason why so many members have left this forum.

Hmmm... another forum which I visit rarely is much faster, but I ain't gonna leave TDF without a fight. The forum has not been facing major downtimes for quite some time now and I am happy with that for now.
