Whats your Monitor Resolution ?

What Monitor Resoulution do you prefer ?
Any particular reasons ? Or Just using the default settings

I use the default setting.

1024x768

1280x800 : Becoz mine is a wide screen LCD monitor and it works best with this resolution and 32-Bit color quality.

1024*768

1400 x 1050

And this option is not anywhere in the POLL.

There should be at least "Other" or "Not in the List" options...

Where the hells the 1920*1200 option?

Becoz more that this Resolution the text look very small.

the current trend as of January 2007 was:

Higher 26%
1024x768 54%
800x600 14%
Others 6%

was just thinking about it in view of my new site. rt now - no horizontal scrolling even for 800x600... but maybe i shud consider optimizing it for 1024x768.

OOPS ! I hope the mods will add a "other" option.

Who would have a resolution of 1280x720? Isn't that 16:9? I don't think any desktop screens have 16:9 but I could be wrong.

This one I'm kind of lost at: 1280x600.

Really even i want that to be there...However i already voted for the other option.So if there is no option to vote again , this thread is a waste..

almost 60% with 1024x768 ! this statistic is in tune globally too...

Mine is 1280 X 1024 both on my office PC and my home PC. This option is not in the poll.

I am not using default setting. The screen looks good in 1024*768. In 800*600, all icons look big and it stresses my eyes. And resolutions>1024*768 are not supported by my GPU. So its 1024*768.

@Unknown: What default setting you talking about? 640*480 is a very low resolution, and is 'default' only on some of those old 14 inch monitors. Anything above 15inch has an 'ideal resolution' above 800*600....

Mine is 1152x864. For my 19'' monitor 1024x768 is too big and 1280x1024 is too small. Also I have on-board graphics card.

1024x768 on 17" LG CRT

1024 on 17" CRT because thats the highest resolution with 85Hz support and games run with decent fps on this resolution on 7600GT

Mine 1024*768 like all

i am another 1152 x 864 user..
i use it at 85Hz..

And thats coz, at any other convenient resolution, my screen starts sorta shaking
