Hi all, I am in a certain dilemma for purchasing a washing machine for my House needs.
I intend to buy a TOP LOAD automatic washing machine with steam drying of clothes after wash features.

Which company should I look out between LG or IFB?

Not interested in BOSCH,GODREJ,WHIRLPOOL,SAMSUNG,etc. ONLY BETWEEN THE ABOVE TWO COMPANIES.

Budget within Rs.30K

Please Help Friends.

Easy questionnaire — the answer is LG.

If you love IFB, then guess what? Bosch owns IFB!
Ohh Bosch owns IFB,never knew that.

Thanks Friend, already zeroed onto LG THD08SPM

Please go through the LG warranty to see what it covers.
Why 9 KG or 12K ?
It's 8kg model,AFAIK.
We are a Family members of 4,may be 6/7 kg is sufficient, but due to some heavy bedsheets, body cover sheets,curtains...I opted for this one.

Regarding Warranty: 2 yrs on spare parts & service. 10yrs on Motor(Inverter Motor).

But @invisiblebond , IFB is providing 4yrs comprehensive warranty,10 yrs on motor and 10 yrs on spare parts.
What is your take on this?

4yrs comprehensive is good actually. 10yrs on spare parts with 100% free or some marginal cost? check for after sales of both products on reddit indian forums. If possible, visit your local IFB service center and try to get info spare parts availability.
Personally, I don't have much knowledge on this, i use Bosch top load machine, its working fine.

My parents bought IFB front load because of parts issue with LG front load after close to 8-9 years of usage. My grandparents used an IFB front load for almost 15+ years without any major issues (stopped using it later on).

I personally bought a Samsung top load for the 20 year warranty on motor + 2 year comprehensive, cost about 15k after card discounts for the 7kg unit.

In the case of IFB, there are user reviews mentioning excessive vibration in the 2024 models. I currently have the 2017 front-load model. What I noticed when they changed the drum was poor-quality suspension and metal corrosion. As a result, Flipkart exchange was not available, and
the machine would move a few Kilometers and Kilometers when it started drying or spinning.

This is my third Whirpool washing machine across three different houses. One is 8 years old, one 3 years and another may be 12 yrs. All are running well.

I faced issue in LG(Automatic) and Samsung(Semi-automatic in the dryer). The drum was rolling even when I opened the cover in a top mount.

I can make a similar video on for another brand as well :p
