C2D E6420 @ 8000 + TAX
ASUS P5B-V/VM @ 7000 + TAX
2GB DDR-II 667MHz @ 3800 + TAX
160 GB SATA-II @ 2050 + TAX
DVD RW @ 1500 + TAX
Cabby + ColorSit 450 SMPS @ 2000 + TAX

4 % TAX = 974
Total = 25324

Now, if you go with AMD you get a good breathing space... :)

AMD X2 4200 @ 4800 + TAX
ASUS M2A-VM (AMD 690G Chipset with ATI x1250 GRFX) @ 4000
2GB DDR-II 667MHz @ 3800
160 GB SATA-II @ 2050
DVD RW @ 1500
Cabby + ColorSit 450 SMPS @ 2000

TAX = 726
Total = 18876

See in case of AMD i would suggest go with a Nvidia 6150 chipset or AMD 690V based board which may come under 3k + TAX, so in that case u are left with 7k money, which may be used to buy one XFX 8600 GT 256MB available at Rs. 7k + TAX

Note all prices are Kolkata Street Price :) so may be few bucks here at there at ur localtion :)

PS. the thread should have been at Hardware section...

only if you can increase the budget up to 30k :p

as if u take out the P5B-V / VM and put XFX 650i or Asus P5N-E SLi, that would ony save MAX Rs. 2000, u would still need another 4.5 or 5k to fit in one XFX 8600 GT !!! as note, 650i boards wont have any On board video options...

and while if u think for Intel 975 boards, the board will cost over Rs. 9k !!! and not a best buy when 650i boards are there !!!
