I have a Asus P5GC-MX/1333 board. I would like to know if it will support the Xpertvision HD 4850 which I am about to get. Please reply soon.

Sure it ll support but u cannot get the full bandwidth speed of the GPU , cause u r having pcie X 16 .......... need 2 X pcie 16

but Asus board can take up the vantage !

Thats bullshit ! a single x16 PCIe is enough for 4850

Ya single PCIE is ok for 4850 , but complete full speed of bandwidth is needed for optimum running

Asus boards are specially designed for user adding peripherals for boards , it can take vantage of the GPU

well as far as i know the bandwidth need of 4850 can be perfectly satisfied with single x16 pcie .So no problem.

But yes..if you are going for gtx 280 or 4870x2 then you definitely need pcie 2.0...
