Win XP IEEE 1394 driver problem

Recently I installed a PCI NEC Firewarden IEEE 1394 card.
Win XP recognised it and installed it. But after a few days, when I tried capturing video from my handycam, I was unable to do so.
When I opened the device manager tab I found an ' ! ' mark before the "Network adapter on IEEE 1394" whereas under the IEEE 1394 devices everything was fine.
I uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them and restarted my PC. But again the same problem occured.
What should I do???

Hey........was ne driver or s/w provided with ur handycam.
Also most importantly make sure tat u hav the usb 2.0 driver installed.
if u dont use the windows update to do tat.when u installed the card was a option of setting up a network given ?

No, the driver was not provided with my handycam. Win XP recognised it and installed the drivers. I have already installed USB 2.0 drivers.

when u click on properties of the network adapter what does it say ?
is there a conflict ?
try installin the drivers for the adapter witht he ! ask windows to do it
if this doesnt work
uninstall it
delete it from device manager shutdown
install it in a diff pci slot
and then restart
and reinstall the drivers

I have the same problem with my 1394 card
XP does not detect my camera
I searched the Internet about this matter and it seems lot of people have the problem
The one thing I have Learnt from all the search is that for a camera to be detected through 1394 card there is no need for camera software
even if u do install it it is not going to make a difference
the s/w is always for USB
THE PROBLEM is XP installs the drivers for the 1394 card automatically
The driver needs to be
'Texas Instruments OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller'
I am not able to find this driver
If any one does find it please help
