The different variants of Windows Vista are:
Windows Vista Home Basic (x86) or (x64) ----------- $199.00 USD
Windows Vista Home Premium (x86) or (x64) -------- $239.00 USD
Windows Vista Business (x86) or (x64) -------------- $299.00 USD
Windows Vista Ultimate (x86) or (x64) -------------- $399.00 USD
Windows Vista Starter (x86) ----------------------- Only in Emerging Markets

There's also an Enterprise Edition of Vista that will roll out soon!

I'm not sure abt it..
Surely the cheapest is going to be Windows Vista Starter..
Regarding the prices in India, i hav absolutely no idea abt it..
But the indicated U.S. prices for each edition shud give u an idea
